Though I have bought Lamp of Murmuur material before, I was not truly sold on M’s vision and execution…until now. Raw black metal is going through a renaissance now, but LoM is the only artist in the field, to my knowledge, who is this creative in his approach. Furious BM sections find themselves in a delicate dance with experimental, rock, and goth-like segments, the marriage of which would have been laughable in less-capable hands. I still prefer polished USBM over raw, but good is good!
